Sunflower SS24 at Copenhagen Fashion Week

Sunflower SS24 Spring/Summer 2024 Collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week

“Creating a wardrobe that resonates with the rhythm of everyday life while honoring the

art of tailoring is at the heart of our vision. We believe in crafting real clothes that endure, where quality, innovation, and craftsmanship intertwine to redefine men’s fashion. As designers, we find endless inspiration in lost decades like the 80s, allowing us to infuse our creations with a touch of nostalgia and timeless appeal.”

– Ulrik Pedersen, Founder.

Sunflower Collection 11 takes inspiration from the legendary Copenhagen electronic duo Laid Back, Tim Stahl and John Guldberg, with a runway show that recreates their classic 1983 track White Horse, with its catchy synth riff and beat blending funk, disco and new wave. Released in 1983, White Horse found its way into the underground scene in New York.

The collection channels a little of that early 80s underground basement club scene: virtually see-through shirting; denim pants kicking into a confident flare; shorts and pants tailored in leather. Everything cut casual and confident. As always for Sunflower the foremost reference is classic menswear filtered through modern silhouettes – albeit cut this season loose enough for the dance floor.

Made for men in search of a new approach Sunflower,

is a wardrobe of contemporary menswear balancing understated, intelligent design with a respect for tailoring traditions. Sunflower represents a yearning for something more lasting, real clothes made for men’s daily lives. The method of production is as valued as the final product, with an insistence on sourcing the best quality fabrics, technical innovation and construction by skilled craftsmen.

The collection was presented at the Sunflower HQ’s courtyard during Copenhagen Fashion Week with an exclusive artwork created by Danish photographer Nikolaj Møller.
